Typical eligibility rules
Programs generally require the home to be a year-round primary residence that is at least 12 months old, the work to be completed by a registered contractor, and the application to be submitted within 6 months of the paid invoice date.

BC Hydro notes a bonus rebate of up to $2,000 may be available when more than one eligible upgrade is completed. FortisBC also posts a $300 two-upgrade bonus for qualifying insulation projects in two or more eligible areas.
